||For over two generations, Jerry and Gary Small have
been widely acclaimed for creating beautiful images for families
in the Greater New York and Long Island areas. Jerry has been photographing
weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and portraits for over 30 years.
Gary has worked with his father for over 20 years. Together, they've
made thousands of families happy. These award winning photographers
are well known for their creative portrait style, their artistic
treatment of environments and the three dimensional look they achieve
in all their images. Whether it's a wedding, Bar Mitzvah, a family
heirloom portrait or a photojournalistic candid picture, the images
created by Jerry and Gary surpass that of competitors, because they
can achieve the kind of depth and dimension usually only seen in
big budget commercial photographs.
Their work has won many awards in local, state and national competitions
and the highest honors in international print competition, including
the prestigious Kodak display at Epcot Center. Jerry and Gary
are both Certified Professional Photographers. In addition,
Jerry holds the degrees of Master of Photography and Photographic
Craftsman from the Professional Photographers of America, as well
as a Licentiateship degree from the British Institute of Professional
Photography. Gary also holds the degrees of Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman, and is a nationally Certified Electronic Imagemaker. Gary was the first person in New York State and only the eigth person in the country to hold this distinction. Gary is also a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. Jerry and Gary are both long standing members of the Professional Photographers of Greater New York, the Professional Photographers Society of New York and the Professional Photographers of America. Jerry has also been honored as a recipient of the Photographer of the Year award from the Professional Photographers of Greater New York. This is the highest honor given by the association to one of its members.
Jerry and Gary regularly speak to photographic colleagues about their approach to photography and their natural, casual style of posing and lighting individuals and families in their own homes. They have lectured throughout the country, including the Professional Photographers of America's national convention.
Jerry and Gary are described by their clients as being highly
